Republica Invite
Dear Cowboys,
Warmest Happy New Year wishes to you all from Republica Internationale FC here in snowy Yorkshire.
In 2010 the football world looks forward to the World Cup in South Africa. But we are looking forward even more to YAWC 2010, Yorkshire’s Alternative World Cup, which will take place from Friday 6th August until Sunday 8th August.
We have found a great site for football, music and camping in the countryside just 5 milesfrom the centre of one of England’s most beautiful and historic little cities: the ancient city of York itself. We really look forward to welcoming you there and we will send details of exact location and directions in a future bulletin.
We have a lot of old friends to invite, including yourselves, so we will host
- an 11-a-side tournament with 16 men’s (or mixed) teams.
- a women’s 7-a-side tournament, with up to 16 women’s teams.
- but also for the first time ever …a 7-a-side tournament with 8 men’s (or mixed) teams (These will not be the same clubs as the 11-a-side event).
