The Suburbans beat Wessex Wanderers 5-2. With so may fixtures to cram into April the Suburbans still have a lot to play for but with Little Stoke out on their own up front it looks like they will be vying for second or third place.

The Saturday A Team lost 2-3 to Sneyd Park. The As are lying 5th but could finish 3rd if they get a move on.

The Saturday B Team lost to Clifton St Vincent’s A 3-1. Although they are currently lying 9th out of 14, with most of the teams below them having games in hand the Bs could still have a little fight on their hands to avoid relegation.

The Netball Team report thus:

The A’s play a revamped Southside team who outplayed us today and we lost 27-42. Gutted. Mare got player from them and Lou from us. The Too’s didn’t have a game.

03/04/2011

The Sunday Team have finished their league matches since there are only 6 teams in their division. Despite a late surge early poor form mean that they have finished mid-table. They played 10, won 4, lost 4, drew 2, for 38, against 23, points 14. With just the bottom two teams left to play each other they are assured 3rd place.

Of course this season for the Sundays has been about cups and not the league. They are in the final of the GFA Cup and they play their semi final of the League Cup next Sunday away at Hanham against Hanham Sundays. After the regrettable violence at last Sunday’s match against the same opposition tensions are running high and we wait with baited breath to see the outcome of Chapter 2.

the calendar/team photo’s haven’t purchased one. Why? Perhaps they don’t understand the culture of the club, which is to support and get involved with all aspects of what is The Mightiest little team in Easton, err sorry, the World (see poll results on our website). Not just a half a shandy, grab a handful of chips and leg it home to watch the re-run of the outtakes of the people that didn’t get into the X-factor. Netball reports thus:

The Too’s played top of the Division Skylarks and just lost (ahem) 9-59. Annie got player from them and Emma from us. The A’s did not have a game.

The Suburbans did not have a game but have a mighty 9 fixtures to fulfil in April.

The Saturday A Team beat Cabot Asset Finance 4-2.

The Saturday B Team lost to 1-4 to Wellington Wanderers.

27/03/2011

The Sunday Team thumped Hanham Sundays 9-2. Back in October the Sundays beat Beaufort in the Sid Rumins (league) Cup. In the disastrous weather that followed and with the Sundays reaching the GFA Cup final everybody had forgotten all about it. Now they have a date for their Semi-Final which is Sunday 10th April, when they will play…. Hanham Sundays. If all goes according to plan there will be another 9-2 spanking, another final and Amy will be needing extra supplies of Brasso for the coming year.

Dik only has 2 seats left on the coach going to the GFA final. To find out more visit the messageboard.

There was no news form the old men as to how the Casuals and the Ultra Casuals got on.

The Sunday Team tried to do the five goal thing but didn’t quite get it right allowing Avon Plate to score one of them winning 5-1. This means that the Sunday’s  has been0-2 defeat levied on them by the pesky plate a few weeks ago avenged.

The Casuals were beaten 2-1 by Cardiff Accies  and the Ultras almost got five but were beaten 4-5 by Azzurri Boys.

The Futsal Team’s new round of matches begins on Tuesday. Contact Brendan if you fancy a game.
