KIPTIK
The KIPTIK Day of the Dead event at The Plough was a great success and was absolutely rammed. Bad luck if you turned up and were unable to get in but the pub was full from shortly after 10pm. They managed to raise nearly 1300 of your English pounds, which in real money is nearly half a small water system, breaking all records for fund raisers at The Plough. Well done to Zoey, Quiffey, Ru, Will et al for organising it and thanks to everybody that turned up and had a great time. Thanks also the bands, DJs and everybody who helped out on the night.
The highlight of the night was of course Rosie forcing Kaz to pay £4 on the door to get back into his own pub.

This is a lovely story of hope, ambition and hard work. It could be the story behind the many African footballers who delight crowds each weekend. Bandian is an 8 year old football fan in an African village. He realises he will have to work 750 days to pay for a proper leather football and despairs. When a doctor brings him one, the village kids paint it gold. Will Bandian make it to Europe?

Christmas Party
The Festive season will soon be upon us, time for the Xmas Party!
This year it will be on Friday 17th December, 8pm onwards in our beloved Plough. The theme is ‘The Office Christmas Party’ – 80s style – so think power dressing, fat bellies, bad suits, cigars, brick sized cell phones, the office letch, the office tart, the office gossip, the office agony aunt/uncle etc!
We’ll have Muff Said and Who’s Afear’d, we got Paul Moylan plus the legendary Simon Denny on a special visit, we’ll have 80s karaoke and Santa’s Grotto (guess who’s gonna be Santa?!). There will be a stationary cupboard and it will be the responsibility of ALL staff to make sure that it is used (in)appropriately!!
Shots WILL be administered on arrival….
It’s gonna be huge – put it in your diaries and pump up your shoulder pads…
Results
Next week from Monday to Wednesday Easton will be graced by the presence of Nico from The Lunatics and his beard.

KIPTIK 10th Anniversary
After the Easton Cowboys’ tour to Chiapas to play football against the Zapatistas KIPTIK was formed to create a lasting link to the communities that had hosted us. In the last 10 years KIPTIK has raised thousands of pounds to build water systems in small villages that otherwise would have no clean water.
Bands: The Dead Beats (Ghoulish Rhythm & Blues), Clayton Blizzard (Legendary Local Lyricist), Jota Ramos (Conscious Colombian Hip Hop).
DJs: PrettyBoy, El Borracho & Jaz, Lockjaw.
The Plough Easton, from 8pm ‘til late Saturday 30th October £4 suggested donation.
All money goes directly to build water systems in Chiapas, Mexico.
