The Suburbans thumped bottom of the league St Aldhelms Res 10-1. They currently lie in second place, 12 points behind Stoke Gifford, but with two in hand next week’s top of the table clash is a big match.

Downs B lost to Clifton St Vincents 1-2.

Downs A had no match this week but have a huge one next weekend. GB put it thus on Facebook:

The Downs League season comes to an end next weekend, and the A team have a shot at promotion to Division One. We need at least a point from our game against Sneyd to go up. Sneyd are a bunch of bastards, and it will inevitably be a tough game. There is also still a mathematical possibility of us topping the league – with a big win, and a loss elsewhere for Beachcroft. Whatever happens though, it’s been a cracking season, and it would be great to share our last game with a decent crowd on the sideline: Cheering us on, and heckling the opposition. Kick off is at 2:30 on Saturday 21st. Hopefully see some of you there. Cheers, Gareth.

The Ultra Casuals drew 2-2 with Filton All Saints

The Cricket Team had their first match losing to Frenchay by 53 runs. If you haven’t already got a  fantasy cricket team entered in the fantasy cricket league then you may wish to check out the in depth report, prepared by RT2, on the fantasy league website. According to this Stratto topped the fantasy scores with 100 points. You still have two weeks before the first league games so get a team in for a summer of full on fantasy action.

After The Summer Comes Winter

Downs A beat Clifton St Vincents 2-3 with a last minute penalty. They are in second place in the league, wrestling manfully with promotion. On the 21st April they have  a huge match against Sneyd Park Res.

Downs B lost to Green Park Rangers 0-4. I am sure it was a manful 0-4… if there is such a thing.

The Netball 1s apparently received a heavy spanking but have not reported it on their facebook page. In the words of the well known song – “I has all gone quite over there”. I am not sure how manful this defeat was, and lessons hard learnt will prevent me from speculating.

01/04/2012

After their first ever victory last week the Ultras lost to Portishead Jurassic Sparks 0-7. If you see one of them for god’s sake buy them a pint, put a manly arm around them and say “there, there”.

Remember The Fantasy

Posted by on Apr 1, 2012 in 2012 Tournament, Team News | 0 comments

Don’t forget to give the Fantasy Cricket League a go.The Backroom Boys have put a lot of effort into this so let’s back them up and enter a team.

It’s easy. Keep it simple.

  1. Visit https://sites.google.com/site/eastonfantasy/quick-start-guide
  2. Choose a team name.
  3. Pay your money.
  4. You’ve got two weeks to work out what combination of players adds up to £100bn or you can do it straight away
  5. When you’ve got your players name them.

Don’t forget to check the site where you will find an online form to make it even easier.

There will be regular news and availability updates. Full backup support and information. Free counselling sessions for those who realise that they have picked the wrong skipper.

Remember, more teams, means more money goes to the tournament fund, means more money goes to the prize winners.

If you are struggling to pick a team contact us and we will help you pick one.
