Lebeqs beat the Sundays 1-0. Grandpa Kelly reports that young Jack got man of the match on his first appearance for those that would play on the day of rest.
The Casuals beat Axbridge Saxons 3-1. Jasper scored a 30 yard screamer, Cupis scored a pen and Jack Daniels (aged 35 and 3 days, honest) got one as well.

More Indore Cricket
Rob reports on another victory.
a very close game indeed, right down to the last over, mainly due to some eratic behaviour from the ball when bowling slow pace, higgy and tall dave both batted well having to retire and come back in after wickets fell,making a total of 124 robt2 made a decent debut considering the vagueries(?) of both the game and instruction from me ( see above) , our heads were down a little during our bowling, but tall dave continued to temp batsmen into hitting the ball to up be dismissed hit roof, tinks toook a blinding rebound caught and bowled got some runs inc a great straight six unfortunately he was hit for 3 consecutive 6’s when bowling to their best bat, who definately had played the game before! it was all a bit of a blur but somehow they needed 14 of the last over. tall dave bowled straight and took another wicket to win us the game

The Indore Circket Team beat Bitton. Rob reports thus:
the cowboys are not one hit wonders but 15 runs of the bat wonders! winniing the toss this time ev and justin boldly strode out to bat , ev having scored 50 in last weeks game was the man in form, but was soon out as justin proved he was as adept indoors as out in running people out, the young bitton side, bowled erratically , making scoring difficult off of the bat , but our 12th man, X Tras rushed away and kept the scoreboard ticking, throwing away another couple of wickets and one fine catch dismissed al, tall dave steadied the ship, for a bit before holing out, tinx and dean , batted briliantly seeing us through the middle overs and frustrating the bowlers who continued to be off the mark.
two overs to go was the shout, time to start hitting out! ‘what with only you to come in’ was the confidence boosting retort before tinx hit out by solidly blocking the next four balls before getting stumped! Dean and i defended well and p[layed well enough to eek the score to 100 and an extra batting point. (more…)

Winter Nets
Rob has booked indoor net sessions starting from Saturday 5th November and then every Saturday up until Christmas. They will be at the Indoor Cricket School at The County Ground on Nevil Road.
The sessions are from 12pm until 2pm. Since the cost of hiring the nets is rising a good turn out will help keep the costs down.
